This exquisite Swedish Gustavian period painted secretary with library features brass hardware and original locks, circa 1820. The upper section has three shelves behind shaped and reeded doors, while the lower section has a slant front. The original finish is beautifully rustic. It is slightly smaller in scale than other secretaries of its time. When open, the desk is full of multiple little drawers and an opening in the middle. These pieces are becoming harder to find—a special piece!
